Hi

You have to install the oracle client software in the client PC and using net8 assistant(part of oracle client software) tool create a service name for the database you want to exp/imp.

you have to give the database name(SID), the database server's ip address to create a service name.

now you all set to perform exp/imp on the database from you client pc via network...

from the dos promt you can issue
exp and imp commands.
Or if you have installed oracle enterprise manager tools(which is also part of oracle client software) in you client pc, you can use
'Schema manager' a GUI tool to do export and import which is much easier.

Go to http:\\technet.oracle.com and search for
export/import you have detailed documents out there................

Good Luck
