I am preparing Oracle12c RAC certification.

I found few sample questions and need to verify the answer
for the below questions.

PROD1, PROD2 and PROD3 are three instances that have multtenant container
database PROD open. PROD contains multiple PDBs.

Examine these successful commands:

$srvctl add service -db PROD -pdb PRDPDB1 -service SRVPDB1
$srvctl start service -db PROD -service SRVPDB1

Which statement is true about the srvctl start service command?
a)It opens the PRDPDB1 PDB if not already opened
b)It can open the PRDPDB1 PDB only if it is policy managed
c)It can open the PRDPDB1 PDB automatically
d)It can poen the PRDPDB1 PDB only if it is manually managed

The sample questions says, the correct answer B.

But i doubt that.. I think the correct answer is
either A or C.

Can any one please provide some input on this?

Explain your answer(s) and explain why you think the other one(s) is/are not correct.

The moment we start the service, it should enable automatically
regardless of either policy managed or manually managed.

What is the relation between add/start a service and a PDB?
How does it change a PDB?

No it is 42.
Do you think anyone will think it is correct just because you say it?

I think I prefer to follow Matthew's answer which points me to the documentation and an Oracle article which explain what are these commands and what they do.

Hello You are right

Look here https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/RACAD/admin.htm#RACAD8913

and also have a look in transcender material (but you have to buy it)
