Hello everyone,

I am new to SQL Developer tool, my question is can we turn or enable the multiple query result windows to just one (Toad/SQL server style). If there's a shortcut key for this, that would be super awesome.
Currently for each query run, your results tab is automatically being pinned, causing each new query run to need it's own new tab to display the results, and this is so much annoying Sad . Any lead or help will be highly appreciated Smile .

thanks,
Viplove

Currently for each query run, your results tab is automatically being pinned, causing each new query run to need it's own new tab to display the results
F9 or CTRL + ENTER will run the statement and display it in the Query Result tab below. If you select all statements and then do the same you will get the Query Result tabs for each statement i.e. for 5 queries it will have the output in 5 different tabs respectively.

F5 on the other hand, is used to run as a script and it displays combined output in the Script Output tab. However, you might have to format the output properly for each statement. Also, for a large output it would be difficult to read the Script Output.

Yes, Agree but unfortunately i want grid type layout in single frame for multiple SQLs in single worksheet and i guess we don't have that option in SQL developer Sad
We also have discussed all possibilities in Oracle Community forum https://community.oracle.com/thread/4278789 but all in vain..

I guess I don't see why this is such a big deal.

The grid layout style in the tool is pretty much stuck to what you see.

Now that being said, we're looking at the next generation of SQL Developer, and sky's the limit there.
