Hello i am new using database system and SQL.
I download Oracle 9i from Oracle for to practice my SQL.
Unfortunately i couldn't success to open SQL+.
Could you please let me know what i suppose to write ;
USERNAME:
PASSWORD :
HOST STRING:

here is some information.

USERNAME: - Oracle username
PASSWORD : - user password
HOST STRING: - connect string in tnsname.ora (SQL*Net8), this configuration is used to connect to database.

I have the Oracle 8i personal edition, and the username for all the ones I've used is: scott , password: tiger, and hoststring is the name you gave when you installed the compiler. Maybe 9i is the same, or maybe it is something like that.

the above information is not working for the sqlplus
Its giving this error
