HI anyone know how to increase the performance of a database. Beside tunning the sql statement, upgrading the hardware. Is there any way to increase the performance of the oracle server. example speed up the execuation of a sql statement. I had tried to increase the temporary tablespace, create big rollback segment but performance is still the same. Anyone know how to increase the performace of an oracle server without upgrading the hardware?

one more step for increasing the performace of database is by adding the redolog file and increasing the total size of redo logs.

this will reduce the shifting of redo logs and decreases the waits and hence increasing the efficiency.
