Oracle 8.1.7
Windows2000

I am trying to take a hot backup using the following command :

alter tablespace SYSTEM begin backup;
!ocopy F:ORACLEORADATADSSYSTEM01.DBF C:dotsoft_backup
alter tablespace SYSTEM end backup;

But it gives an following error :

SP2-0042: unknown command "!ocopy" - rest of line ignored.

For unix the command is '!cp', what is the equivivalent for Windows?

Please advise.

Regards,
Hitesh

You need to use "host" and not "!" for windows.
