Hi,
Pl let me know the difference between Export backup & Full backup.
Apart from backup procedure, with both type of backup we can able to recover the data's.
Then why Full backup is suggested to be a better one eventhough we can retrieve the data's using Export backup and also the time factor also is verymuch less in case of export backup.

Thanks & Regards
Shesha

Full backup is backup a database ( datafile)- physical backup.
Export backup is logica backup, it just logicaly backup.
The backup method is depending on your database size, operation issue, expertise and resource. But if your database is huge then you need to use full backup which is more faster (OS copy) then export/import. Besides this export disadvantage, you need to setup whole database(for import back the data) and os file size limitation.
Hope this is helping
