Please,

I am unable to install Oracle 8i on a P3 450mhz computer with W2k.

When I install it hangs during Net 8 COnfig and then refuses to acknowledge the listerner. I am becoming very frustrated.

Does anyone know of a site or refernece where I can get specific, explicit instructions as to how I can install Oracle?

http://docs.oracle.com/database_mp.html will help you with installation and OS specific documentations.
is there any erro message displayed?
did you check the log?
