How 2 UnInstall Oracle8 completely??? URGENT [message #70609]

Hello Friends:
Can anybody help me in uninstalling Oracle8 compeletly from Win NT server. I tried using Oracle Installer but it does not remove everything. While uninstalling it confirms about some shared files and if I say yes I want to delete it then it affects my OS and the machine hangs up. And if i say no it keeps some components of Oracle like databases, Net8 etc. Actually I want to remove Oracle8 and Install Oracle8i without any database.

first remove the database.(using configuration assistent).
use universal installer to remove the oracle installation. IF its not helping you can also use
controlPanel/addRemovePrograms option.
then physically remove the ORACLE_HOME

I would add that you need to remove it from the PATH and remove it from the registry once you have done the previous. Backup your registry before you modify it. Then reboot.

There are two ways

1) use oracle installer and remove every product one by one but first remove the database from the database config assistant

2) registry hkey_local_machine and remove all entries of oracle
