I have an Oracle 8.1.6 database installed on a UNIX box (Sun Solaris). I want to create a new user using DBA Studio.

I launch "oemapp dbastudio" and am presented with username/password. For the "INTERNAL" User I have forgotten the password. At the sqlplus command line I am able to user system/manager to get to SQLPLUS, but this does *not* work with DBA Studio.

How can I change/alter the INTERNAL User's password to be able to add a user to the database? I know how to do this under NT/Windows, but not under UNIX

Many thanks --> Pat Dolan

u can to use the orapwd utility in unix like NT to create a password for INTERNAL.
But just to create a user to use dbaStudio create a regular database in sqlplus or dbastudio by logging as sys or any dba.
