you can't directly import the data from the oracle 7 to oracle 9. first you have to import the data into the oracle 8i version and then import to oracle 9i version.

to exp the data
exp sunil/sunil@sunil buffer=100000 file=sunilfulldatabase.dmp consistent=y grants=y indexes=y full=y

to import the data

imp sunil/sunil@sunil buffer=1000000 file=sunilfulldatabase.dmp ignore=y full=y

Hope you got your answer

Thanks

Keep in touch

just do a imp in you oracle 9i, it will ask you for the dump file names, or you can use sqlldr.
