I have a number of production databases on different servers. All the databases have the same name. I would like to manage all of them through the enterprise manager, but when I try to discover them, I receive an error "Target with same name already exists".

Is there a way to have the OEM "rename" the database for its internal use? Could I implement some listener trick to accomplish the same thing?

I cannot rename the actual databases. What else can be done?

you can use different connectstrings(tnsnames.ora entries) for different databases.
and use the connectstring for OEM Lookup
