I have the same problem. But my script contains
ORALCE variables
ORACLE_BASE=/app/oracle
ORACLE_HOME=/app/oracle/product/8.1.7
ORACLE_PATH=/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/bin
ORACLE_DOC=/app/oracle/product/8.1.7/doc
ORACLE_OWNER=ora817
PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/bin:ORACLE_HOME/lib:$PATH
NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8ISO8859P1
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$ORACLE_HOME/lib
TNS_ADMIN=$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin
ORACLE_TERM=hp
ORATABLOC=/etc
ORATAB=${ORATABLOC}/oratab
TMPORATB=/var/tmp/oratab$$
ORACLE_RDBMS=$ORACLE_HOME/rdbms
I still have the problem...
