Hello,

I get the error message:

"IMP-00002: failed to open BNODE::DISK$SCR1:[[ORACLE.EXP]]EXP_PROD.DMP for
read"

when running Import and specifying in Import's FILE command that the
Export file is on a machine node (in this case BNODE) other than the
machine where I'm running the Import. The file exists and I can both
query the file and have actually copied the file from BNODE to where I
want to run Import using a VMS operating system command. But I'd like to
have Import read the export file from the remote machine without having
to copy it. Is this a limitation of Import? Any response will be
appreciated.

make sure u use BIN options during FTP'ing the file from one machine to another.
else,
NFSmount the concerned disk to the import Machine.
also try Linking the files
