Hi everybody,

need help with this:

- Want to copy a database
- made full export of database A
- created new database B (same as A)
- made full import in database B

Didn't work ! There are two users C and E in database A who own all objects and data. I didn't create the users C and E in database B and import didn't work (log-file can be sent via email). Do I have to create the users C and E first before I use imp to fetch all abjects and data ???

Thanks for any help
Regards Christine

hi

U don't need to create users....

can send me log @ : bruno_vogel1509@yahoo.fr

Is the same Oracle's release ?
( upgrade or downgrade ? )

Try this:
1- make a full export
exp full=y consistent=y direct=N
2- recreate an empty database
just need to create the tablespaces with the same name
Verify that temporay tablespace is the same as DB source
3- exp full=y commit=y ignore=y
