hai all,
I have a full backup taken at monthend and daily incremental backups.I have one more machine which I now want to use it for emergency in case if my existing DB crashes. What I want to know is,can I restore the full DB by importing full backup and applying all the incrementals till date in an other existing database?will this solve my problem? If so let me know the steps for proceeding.
regards,
niranjan.

U can restore the whole DB in an empty DB.
I think u should take a cumulative export at WE ... else U should import ALL the export made between ur last FULL BCK and NOW ...

Step
Import the FULL BACKUP
Import ALL the INCREMENTAL BACKUP ...
