Hi,
What is prefered when
Physical Database Backup
or
Export
are there any drawbacks in export? what u people say which is prefered in Live Environments?

We use exports to augment physical backups. They add some flexibility in recovering from user errors. BUT we rely on physical backups first. They protect from a whole host of potential problems. Exports only back up data and don't back up other critical items (redo logs, control files, etc.). I'm not in a 24x7 environment so I have some more flexibility than you may.
