Hi, I am working in an Oracle 8i database and my application is Maximo. I have exported a test database off one server and importing it on another with the same database name. I have configured the fields prior to attempting import and created tables.
When I run import I get the message "inserted value too large for column" on more than one of the tables. What the import is doing is actually creating another column and assigning it a sequential number. Can anyone tell me where to look for more info. on this or what I can do to prevent it from doing this? The column that I am getting this error on is configured large enough for the data, is an ALN of 50 and none of the data is that large in this column.
I have looked at the rejected data to see if it may have something in common. I noticed some of the names in this field include either a dash or % or comma. But other rejected fields do not contain any of these.
Thanks for any help or suggestions.
