Problem : I have to set up oracle9i DB at 3 locations across the globe connected by low bandwidth(VPN) network. The databases need to be replicated and real time data is not needed and transaction volumes is pretty low.
Each application at a location will perform its own set of dml on a common object say table and will not interfere with data from other locations. Each location would need to see data from other locations.Materiallized views will not be used and is a case of asynchronous multimaster replication.

Answers Needed
1. What are the various available options for oracle9i replication.
2. Will it work well on low network bandwith.
3. Is there 3rd party solution.
4. Replication will have to support LOBs and whether low n/w bandwidth would be a bottleneck.
5. Are there any similar implementations done before (references)
6. Comparison matrix oracle Vs Sybase replication and other technical features.

Your help is sincerely appreciated

Kish
