: Can anyone share experiences converting Oracle to DB2?

Some time ago we were trying to convert Oracle data
to DB2 data for data warehousing purposes. I believe
it was under DB2 os/390 release V410. We used PC
rexx for OS2 to acess the data in Oracle.
We had some success converting the data. Datatype
number was a challenge. We did not work with lob datatypes.
Table names and column names had to be modified due to
mainframe DB2 limitations for the length.
We attempted to recreate some Oracle STD reports
in DB2 which proved more difficult because of the
differences in SQL between the 2 databases.
