Hi

We use an Oracle 8.1.7.4 DB located on a Win2k Server.
On our Mainframe host (z/OS 1.4) an Oracle client is running - same version as db.
It is absolutely no problem to connect to the db via Net*8 out of Cobol batch-programs (via Pro*Cobol).
But: we do not manage to get access to the db via CICS.
Anyone had the same problem? Any suggestions? Experiences? Thank you in advance.

Martin

We connect from CICS via access manager to a few other platforms without problems. What sort of errors do you get? Do you use RACF / is your connect string set correctly.
If you want to send samples of your NET8 defs I'll willingly take a look (we're on 8.1.7.4.50).
