Hi All,
I am Giri, new to db side and new to oracle. I want to get start db with oracle and want to specialise in oracle DB. I am a vb, asp programmer and having knowledge in something in .net also. But i want to specialise as DB. I know very basic things in db side. So can you help me how to start my career as dba. I am planned to get Oracle certification in couple of months. But i don't know anything about where i will get the resources, which books will be good to start and which is for experts what are the procedures etc..

So can you help me to kick off my career as oracle dba???

The first thing you need is an Oracle database. Lucky for you, Oracle software is available as a free download on OTN. On the same site you can find the Oracle documentation. Learn to use it.
