Hi,

I have the following question.

In order management, while entering an order in the sales-pad screen, my line level default price list is P1. And P2 is the secondary price list of P1. Now the price of the item X is defined both in P1 and P2. Then from which price list price will be picked up?
Now, let the product precedence in P1 for item X is a1 and the product precedence in P2 for item X is a2 and the precedence of P2 is a3.
Which precedence will take priority?
Waiting for your reply.

With Thanks & Regards,
Srila

Hi,
It is not a requirement of the pricing engine for an order line to have a
price list attached. Thus, if no price list is referenced, the engine will
search for a price list on which the line item exists. It also verifies
whether the customer is eligible for the list based upon the qualifiers on
the list.

If a price list is sent on the order line, the pricing engine will look at
the price list sent from Order Management and determine if the request
qualifies for this price list. If not, then it will look at the secondary
price list attached to the price list (if there is any) to determine if
this list matches the qualifiers. If not, then the engine will search for
a list that matches the eligibility of the pricing request and return the
price from this price list. The engine orders the price lists based upon
precedence and will choose the list with the highest precedence (i.e. lowest
precedence number). The new price list will be sent back to the calling
application, OM, and will override the defaulted price list from the sales
order.
