me satish, and i want to develop a report with an option at runtime to convert the output into excel format.

I would like to suggest you to try the report to excel converter: Rep2excel.
The utility can convert your report into excel format, you can get excel output
without coding.

Hi ,

Thaks alot for ur mail, and what my requirement is

at runtime if user pressed a button, then the same o/p which was availbale is to be converted into excel format.
in my system one more report was there, it's wworking properly.
but i did the same as in that report, im getting empty excel sheet..
what i did is,
kept a button on layout model,
when_button pressed --- rpt2xls.run(as it was in working report)
added plsql libraries ,hmsrep.pll, rpt2xls.run.

but what was my mistake...

if u give me a suggetion , then i will be great ful to u
