What is the purpose of Placeholder and how we can use it in Report 6. Please give an example or steps to use it.

Suppose you want to select address of a person from other table in your query and address is in 4-5 fields of that table.
Here you do not to create 4-5 formaula columns.
Just create one formula column, select all the columns and return first row in that and for rest create placeholder columns in the group and assign values to these placeholders those columns selected in the formaula.
Here is an example.
