Can anyone tell me what is the use of having Customer Number in Supplier Window under General Tab.,

This is what the Payables User's Guide has to say:

General Region of the Supplier Sites Window
Customer Number. The number your supplier uses to identify your enterprise. This number appears on the Oracle Purchasing Printed Purchasing Order Report.

Customer Number. The number your supplier uses to identify your enterprise.
This is a record information for your own reference. the customer number your supplier has assigned.
