Hi Guys,

In Invoice work bench Permanent Prepayment is availble, if i want make it partial as temporary perepayment. Is it possiable in in our oracle Payable application.

The Scenario like this.............

I have Telephone deposit of Rs.2000/-, now the department has reduced the deposit to Rs.1000/-. For this month my telephone bill is 1100/-, they have deducted the deposit amount Rs.1000/- and showed the payable amount as Rs.100/-. In this case i want to make Rs.1000/- as permanent prepayment and Rs.1000/- i want to adjust to this bill.

Thanks & Regards

Ramesh

Currently you have permanent prepayment for Rs 2000.

1. Change the prepayment type from permanent to Temporary
2. Create a Standard invoice for telephone bill for the amount of
Rs 1100.
3. Apply the prepayment amount Rs 1000 against this invoice
4. Pay the remaining amount of Rs 100.

Now you have the prepayment balance of Rs 1000 (temporary). You can not change the prepayment type now.

If you want to change it permanent, then you need to create a refund of Rs 1000 against the current prepayment and create a new permanent prepayment invoice.

Refund: Create a standard invoice and enter cash account in the invoice distribution. Then apply the prepayment against this invoice.

Cheers,
Sara
