Currently I am using Oracle 9i Database and 10g Developer when I connect via login/password successful login but not execute and shows the error

FRM: 10142 The HTTP listener is not running on <computer Name> 
at port 8889. Please start the listener and check 
your runtime preference.

So start the listener!

Did you start the OC4J instance?

I've encountered the same problem before. The error messages meant that u havent start OC4J instance to run your forms.

I have started the OC4J before running form but still getting same error.

When you start the OC4J instance u will have a console,u have to make sure that u got a message saying that the oc4j instance is ((initialized)) and there is no errors

Yes I received the msg which end to "initialized"

but unable to run the form & receiving the same error.

are u sure that the forms builder and the instance belong to the same ora home?

there z something important,,

go to internet options (right click the internet icon on you computer> properties>connections>lan settings>
then uncheck the (use proxy...) check box) and tell me what will happen

Ohhh Thank you dear Actual I m using ISA server client that is why it was not running now I disabled and uncheck the proxy in Internet explorer. form is running but I have I.E and Firefox my form run in firefox and open this address "http://www.%1.com/" page display test "Server Not Found"

@djmartin : help me with 10142 my ' use proxy ' option is unchecked im running forums 10g, 11g database and internet explorer 8, im still getting the problem. 1 thing more, my default port is 1521 in tsnames.ora .. should my port be 1521 in the preferences of forums under ' Application URL ' or it should stay at default 8889 ?

On default port i get 10142, when i change the port to 1521 my explorer runs but i still get CANNOT FIND SERVER. Please help me regarding this problem. Thanks in advance.
