HAY ANYONE PLZ TELL ME THAT HOW CAN WE USE CURSORS IN REPORTS AND WHERE DO WE CODE THEM WHETHER IN CF_1 OR IN CP_1 IN REPORTS 6i.

Cursors are cursors, no matter where they are. If you don't have to use them, I guess you will not. But, if you decide to use one, put it into any PL/SQL procedure. And yes, you may use it in both Formula and Placeholder column.

hay thanx for reply,
can u plz send me a little e.g of using cursors, so i use it in formula columns to check it bcz i m facing little problem of using cursors in reports plz.

What problem are u facing...

About CF and CP

CF : Formula Column.
You have to return a value to it. It cannot be assigned a value from any other formula/place holder column.

CP: Place holder Column.
You can assign it a value from another formula/place holder column and also return a value to it from within its own code.
