hi
i am reconfiguring DATAGUARD
last time it was successful but this time i am facing difficulty
that is when i reach to copy the datafiles from the primery DB to physical standby DB ...when i click next it stays as nothing happen ......no erro0r no message nothing at all

any body have any idea

I'm not sure what version of Oracle you're using, but when you say "click next" I'm thinking that you are using Oracle Data Manager (GUI). As an alternative, you can copy the data files across manually, and put them in the correct directories (I do this all the time under 9.2 in UNIX).

Whats your oracle version ?
Whats your Os?
Are you Using GRID control?

i'm using Oracle 9.2
and you are right i am using GUI (Enterprize manager console to configure Dataguard)

but how can i implement manual copy in this case ?

i'm using oracle 9.2
and my Os is windows 2000 server
no i'm not using Grid controle.
my machine has two NIC.
is it a network problem or Intellegent agent problem ....or some thing else ?

Do you have identical names for both standby and primary?
check the DB_FILE_NAME_CONVERT and LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT parameters.
